For over 35 years now Titan have been helping people to see the world differently; taking them to places and showing them the very best a destination has to offer. Over the next four weeks we are going to be taking a look back – with your help from you, our amazing customers – at some of the places we have been, what our brochures used to look like, and (most importantly) why these holidays have been so memorable for our customers.
Our first story comes from Georgina and David Froome, and their Danube river cruise on the 26th of June 2007 – their 45th wedding anniversary!
“We shared the evening with Dauna and Fred Neveaux (Canadians) and an American couple whose name I do not remember. I felt that this ‘snap’ shows what wonderful scenery and splendid sunsets we experienced in spite of that June being a somewhat disappointing one.
My husband, David, and I enjoyed the Danube cruise very much; the ship was so well run in every respect, the food and restaurant staff were both excellent as was the accommodation and the Cruise Director was superb. We much appreciated being able to meet other passengers by changing dining tables.
That was our first river cruise, and we were looking forward to the trip on the Douro but this was cancelled due to the volcanic eruption in Iceland. We did however cruise on the Elbe which, again, was most enjoyable.
Sadly, David was knocked down by a car nearly two years later which has left him still struggling to walk and we are not able to venture too far from home and for more than a few days. We still hope that perhaps we shall have the opportunity of cruising with Titan again.”
Thank you Georgina – we are glad that you managed to cruise on both the Danube and the Elbe, they are both beautiful trips. Hopefully you will be able to join us again, and all the best to David.
